Zach has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2016. He utilizes different manual therapy techniques as well as an understanding of different movement theories, sports performance concepts and overall human physiology to optimize treatment, rehabilitation, and athletic performance for both the healthy and injured population.

Prior to being a member of the Buckeye Performance Golf team, Zach earned a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from The Ohio State University. He later earned a Master’s degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon’s Graduate Post-Professional Athletic Training Program. Clinical rotations at The Ohio State University, the University of Oregon as well as internships at EXOS and Sparta Science have allowed him to work with athletes of various ages, skill levels and sports including soccer, lacrosse, football, basketball, and baseball among others.

A former athlete himself, Zach battled injuries throughout his soccer career. Recovering from those setbacks allowed him to become passionate in a different side of athletics – sports medicine/performance. This has allowed him to give back to athletes undergoing similar circumstances and help them get back to doing what they love most.

Zach appreciates working with both healthy and injured patients. He enjoys the process of getting an injured patient back to their specific demands while enhancing athletic performance in both the healthy/injured population via a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.

In his spare time, Zach enjoys to be outdoors (i.e. skiing, hiking, playing soccer, etc.). He is a lover of all sports – specifically his hometown Chicago teams (Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox). He also is an audiophile who appreciates music of all genres while mainly listening to rap/hip-hop and electronic/house music..
